Crepe Paper Door Curtain

A while ago I bought three rolls of crepe papers in the colours of pink, dark pink and purple, stashed away in the closet for any future craft projects with the girls. They came in good use this week as we made a door curtain out of the crepe papers. A super duper easy, simple and fun project with the girls. Vera was so excited that she made me and Nora waiting outside the room as she presented herself as a princess and the room as her castle. The princess would then come out of the castle and asked us to walk through the door curtain into the castle many, many times. Wonderful!

Daydreaming

I wondered what she was daydreaming about. A new playdress (and it came with a blue apron and white short-sleeved blouse) for the girls and I overheard someone said “A cute Heidi”.

Spring Cleaning

We left our garden today, very happily and satisfied, knowing how much we did today. PoPo ripped out weeds, PaPa cleaned up the green house, the girls helped out, played by themselves and busy chit-chatted with our neighbour, who is a beekeeper. I’m so happy that our garden looks well-groomed! Both girls got such red cheeks at the end of the day from spending so much time outside.

Easter Flower Basket

A beautiful Easter flower basket made by MiMi, together with the Easter eggs she dyed together with the girls. Too bad we can’t keep it forever, the eggs have to be eaten and the flowers have since died and were moved to the flower bed in garden. Have a nice weekend!

A Nice Surprise

Our sweet friend, Linda, sent us a parcel filled with cute gifts. Before I could stop the girls, they had ripped open the parcel and their presents. I’m only showing some of the goodies in the parcel. Thank you, (Aunty) Linda!

A Brief Morning

My mom, Nora and I went to the garden this morning for a couple of hours. We watered our garden, my mom cleaned out more weeds and Nora played happily in the sandbox.

#1 Our cherry tree blossomed!
#2 Happy Nora!
#3 The flower bed, can’t wait to see some colours from this bed!
#4 I added a pot of rosemary in the herb bed
#5 Nora at the veggie bed – Choy Sum and Siew Bok Choy coming out
#6 We planted potatoes for the first time!
#7 Another pot of rosemary in a dry corner near the hut
#8 Rhubarb! It is a surprise actually. We planted it two years ago and this was the first time we saw the rhubard coming out! To be honest, I’m not a big fan of it.

Egg Hunting

Our Easter celebration was great and we had a wonderful time together as a family, with MiMim, YeYe, Tante Ann and also with my mom, PoPo. The girls were so looking forward to the egg hunting session and had so much fun finding the chocolate eggs and presents. Vera was more excited finding the chocolate eggs than her presents. She was like a hyper bunny sprinting here and there looking for more chocolate eggs and jumped up and screamed happily whenever she found more! Their smiles are priceless!
